FOR THE ROAD! think 280/300 at 1200kg is great lol

For you, 400 today, 700 next year lol

Amo I really need to get a flight over and get a run in you car, must be unreal.

Not driven anything mega-powerful, but 500bhp is still 350bhp/tonne, which matches or trumps everything shy of Zondas, Enzos and the new Noble.

Plus I'd want to consider longevity and driveability - more power = more strain on gearbox and also a heavier-duty clutch required - how strong is your left leg???

Then there's traction - there comes a point at which, unless you're fitting forged driveshafts etc. and 325-section rear tyres, the power can't be laid-down cleanly. The NSX was designed with 276bhp in mind - and while I trust Honda engineering, will all that take double or more without needing reinforcement?

Final question - can you opt for the 500bhp map but spec the ancillaries to cope with 600bhp, JUST IN CASE you get bored of 500bhp?!? :D

I think 500 is seriously enough for the road, so long as everything else is beefed up, gearbox, suspension, brakes, tyres and legs/arms to cope aswell! Also reliability is important too as more BHP = more potential problems.

300bhp, but you haven't listed that. :D

edit: just saw this on prime, like the rap!

ok 300 is tooo slow 400 is too slow most supercars have at least 500 i have mates with 500+ and cant keep up with my 400.
iv built the motor got a dyno with built motor 14lb pulley will net 525bhp at the wheels thats on 91octain dyno was in the states im going to put a water spray on it as well gearbox should be good for 700 but thinkin of getting it cryoed
suspension zeal coilovers
brakes 6 pot fronts just need rears
clutch exedy twin carbon

I went for 650 as I just want to wind you up!!!

Seriously around 400 is more than enough.

With your project aim for 500 RWHP and I think you'll be very happy!

Have you ever got the car set up suspension wise?

I would have thought 500bhp is plenty. My dad's Vanquish has 520bhp but because of the weight, doesn't feel that quick. The NSX has to weight 400kg less...

I'd rather throw money at track days than chase numbers!
