I'm booking a day for me and some clients to go to PalmerMotorsport in Bedford for the day and I'm feeling more than a little paranoid - of rain...

Anyone ever gone? is it always booked out?

I was wondering if it would be better to watch the open days as they approach and make sure I get a dry one!

It is a fine track with plenty of room should you spin. Much easier to drive well than Castle Combe. Sadly Clios, Focus STs etc. will probably beat you as the owners know they are replaceable.

Excellent track, miles of runoffs, even better in the rain...

Unless you have track experience for a novice driver a dry day is always adviseable, more enjoyable and better value for money. Plenty of time for wet days in UK later in your career lets face it.

going to a day where there are up to 20 people to share Palmer Sport cars only. ones below.

wondering if anyone has heard feedback on one of these days.... and I would be bummed to book it and end up on a wet day, so wondering if they really ever "book out"

I don't get why people are bothered with driving in the rain. You live in the UK for god's sake!

Rain means less grip, so a loss of traction happens at a slower speed. Bedford has plenty of space anyway.

Having said that, it's always nice to enjoy the experience on a nice sunny day, especially when you're not in a car.

Palmersport is pretty unique, they will push you and it beats the hell out of the other rip-off 'experience' days.

Going the 22nd of July. I booked 5 spots, but one of my clients has already said "I thought you were talking 22nd of June" "out of town 22 July" so if anyone is dead keen on it and wanting to throw £650 at a day like this....

or by chance of fate - think you are going to suddenly become a great client to my Sales/Marketing, IT tech Recruitment company. Or better yet the specialist Microsof BI dashboard solutions company that I'm in the thros of forming/partnering with... well, get it touch!

Now, Hows that for a bit of shameless promotion.!!!

I owe my Father a day at this so would've been up for it, but I think I am off to the ring that weekend.
O/T - do the BI company use OLAP?
