My, my.

Amazing looking car in every way.

I would love Honda to develop a new NSX using the 458 as the benchmark just as the original NSX used the 328/348.

I think Ferrari took a little bit of hondas styling from the HSC!

When the HSC was introduced as a possible NSX replacement, I had my name down for one, then the design was changed and I didnt really like what they came up with, then shortly after the whole idea was axed or put on hold, then rumour has it a new NSX may be coming back, wouldnt want to be holding my breath lol

A friend of mine gets his RHD 458 early next year, so looking forward to spin in that. I drove the California earlier this year which has the same gearbox and without doubt one of the best paddle shift gearboxes I have ever driven.

The HSC

Wasn't the NSX being developed before the 348 came out???

I saw the Clarkson review and also read the Autocar roadtest, and it is hard to argue against what this car achieves in terms of driveability. Its also clear to see that all the electronic aids also make the car much more predictable and thereby safer.

But, I predict this car is going to date quickly and like you can with most F cars, you'll be able to place when it was built. Try for yourself ... 348 / 355 / 360 / 430 / 458 ....

Of those listed above, for me the only one that is truly a good looking car has to be the 355. All of the post 355 cars have tried to chase some linkage to F1. Whether through diffusor or vents they have tried, and in so doing they have lost the beauty of Ferrari. This new car now adds flexible front winglets, to body ducts scattered across what could have been a flowing bodyline, sculptured over the wheels. As Simon says, NO.

As for me, the car that will not date, and maybe in the hands of a professional might not be the quicker car by an nth or 2, but would certainly be the whole in which I would invest my hard earned ££, has to be the Macca. I built a lovely Metallic Grey and Carbon version on the configurator and it looked like a modern evolution of the 02 style NSX.

Well done Ron, and how about speeding up development of the new baby version??

regards, Paul

A saw an mc.etc the other week, an underwhelming car, no worrys about it looking too much "of the time" as it looks like it was designed in 1990.
Ferrari for the win. :)

Nice comparison pictures!, I think I will reserve judgement until I see them in the metal/flesh as pictures don't always give you a real view. Also you have to consider the colours, angles and light conditions IMHO.

I saw a brown (yes really) MP4 12C on the M25 a couple of weeks ago and it was indeed underwhelming. The colour really didn't do it any favours but it looked both big and bland.

My local Honda dealer in Ottershaw keep telling me about the Metallic Orange MP4 12C that regularly tools around the roads near Woking but so far I've only seen that colour in the press pics. For some strange reason I really like it in that colour ;)

Cheers
