Hi all, I thought I would bring to your attention a prospective photo shoot for Top Gear magazine, the idea is to gather a selection of Hondas/Type R variants as a final send off for the end of production for all Type R's.

Thanks for looking and if a certain Charlotte Green NA1 NSX-R and a Championship White NA2 NSX-R fancy a little hero worship then this could be the time!!! :laugh:

The general feeling is that the Type R badge will vanish for some time. There seems to be no new Integra in the pipeline, the Civic is targetted at mainstream buyers and the "R" seems to be irrelevant from that point of view.

With the NSX and S2000 now both mothballed, Type R hopes are pretty low.

Just read on PH, the current CTR will ceased in the UK as it doesn't meet new CO2 emissions, but no mention that a Honda will stop making R version?

Yes I read that too. TBH it doesn't seem a great loss from all the reviews I have read.

On the one hand I admired Honda for the shape of the Civic being daring and not like Toyota's boring Auris offering, but on the other I could not gel with it. Much preferred the JDM version or even the previous iteration.

The shoot is next Thursday, close to Honda HQ, in Slough. It will start around 10 in the morning and should last no longer than 2 hours. It will be a photo shoot and interviews with the owners.
They want the following cars:
UK DC2 in Championship White
UK ATR (I've been invited with mine however I am not 100% sure if I can make it due to work, so I need a backup)
JDM EP3 in Championship White
They are sourcing a CW FN2 through Honda UK and they have spoken to the owner of the NSX Type R who is also attending.
They want clean and totally standard examples (or as close to depending on which cars are available).
