i see a number of us have excerpts of his article about the nsx, a car he had for 6 years.

i would ask what he would do to upgrade the car today, specifically the engine.

what would you ask?

regards

jamie

Why people on the this forum quote him at the bottom of their posts. Or perhaps, why have we had the same picture on the homepage for the last 12 months?

Cheers,

James

Those questions would certainly catch him off guard

Because we have not got a business to plug?

I would ask why there is a constant horsepower chase rather than reducing weight and keeping it simple.

I feel for you all. We should all have a business to plug. If anyone needs to talk about this, I'm here to listen.

I would ask him why red NSX's are the fastest:)

If he had been given the evolution of the NSX as a project, how close in his opinion does the new MP4-12C represent what the NSX might have evolved into?

I would ask him to get my NSX and give me a new Mclaren. :)

Jamie I would increase the capacity to 3.5 and the compression to 12:1 as well as raise the redline to 8400 rpm.

A: Gordon Murray: "The F458 is far superior and what I would have hoped the NSX would have evolved into, the new MP4-12C is a joke, show me where the innovation is?, it's ugly and has the wrong sort of engine, it's got a turbo ffs!"

(this may or may not be a direct quote from Gordon Murray)

Ok I've got a good one. In a fight, would a fox have three meerkats?

Cheers,

Interesting, but I can see him being more interested in the result of a badger vs a polecat and a ferret! ;)

I think Motor Authority said it's been an average of one per month (either self-igniting or spectacularly crashed by some dork who didn't relise it was high-performance) for the past nine months...

I would raise it to 12.5 and 9500rpm

It was my mum who told me about this, she said it was in the paper or something.

Is there a real problem or is it just coincidence?

Ferrari say there is no problem.

Whether there actually is or not is anybodies guess!!

I would raise it to 12.5 and 9500rpm

That would be unusable on pump gas.

Not sure why - Ferrari manages 12.5 and 9000rpm

Re: 458 - a lot of speculation on PH, including a comment from one owner that his car is going back to have a fuel-related breather pipe (fuel-pump, I think) modified.

That said, it's usually either electrics or fuel-system, so I doubt that's adding much to the debate.

Other than the key fact that despite their denial of a problem, Ferrari are doing things to delivered cars!

You are calling it close at those levels of compression.

Perhaps that's why they are catching fire :D

Ary perhaps you should offer your services to Ferrari:D

Valet parking LOL if I am lucky, I speak fluent Italian so should be OK as the coffee boy. :)

Ferrari still have a way to go to catch up with the number of Gallardo's that have gone up in smoke.

But the 458 has lost a lot more as a %age of cars made. Typical Ferrari reliability!
