Anyone know a part number for the front Type-R badge for an 02>?
I'm planning on putting one on my car as I prefer the look of the filled badge to the standard hollowed one.
Also - if I'm ordering this badge will Honda need a chassis number of an NA2 Type-R before they can go through with the order?
Cheers!

Hi, gcon45.
If you are after the NA2 Type-R Front 'H' badge, it is the same as the one used at the rear centre badge of a certain Accord model so I'm quite sure you can order it without any VIN info.
75701-S1A-E11ZB HUK price: GBP27.12+VAT
It's the flat type with sticker at the back without any studs sticking out.
Considering the strong Japanese Yen, GBP27 is not too bad at all.
For your reference, the NA2 Type-R Rear badge is also different from other NSX models.

For the clarification.
NA2 Type-R Front badge: 75701-S1A-E11ZB. HUK price: GBP27.12+VAT
NA2 Type-R Rear badge: 75701-SL0-J61
Not available through HUK nor Acura.
You will need to get it from Honda Japan or someone already imported it or on auction/shopping site.

Hi, Sudesh.
I never compared the Front and Rear badges next to each other and I didn't pay much attention while I was driving so many NSXs on the same day earlier this year so I could be wrong ... From my memory, it looked the rear one was bigger with more rounded dome shape compared to the front one.
Having said this, this could be the effect of the back ground colour and the shape of the material the badge was attached.
The Front one was on a wide, flat and super clean white bumper whereas the rear one was on the red, flat but small and somewhat narrow centre tail light assy so for me, the rear badge looked bigger than the front one.
I didn't notice it but as you mentioned, it looks quite tranparent on the photo.
One day, I may consider replacing my entire tail light assys to the NA2 Type-R spec but I'm just not ready yet with the later design...

Thanks for the replies!
I got an EP3 Civic Type-R front badge for a customer of mine yesterday who ended up not needing it (he bought a £3.99 eBay badge instead ).
I tried it on my car and quite like it
I realise this is going to divide opinion as it is quite big:

After a couple of days of contemplation I think agree Sudesh.
I am going to go for the 75701-S1A-E11ZB Accord badge that is basically the same as the NA2-R one.

Connor, from memory Dali list both the front and rear NA2 NSX-R badges, cant remember the price.
here are some more pics I have of red NSX badges, I would say its fairly difficult to tell the difference in these and NSX-R, price around £17.00

I still think it looks alright and I'm normally one to de-badge everything. I think it looks more modern as most cars these days seem to have bigger badges.
Normal NSX-R is the way to go IMHO and the rear is the same size as I measured them already. :)

Ary you're saying the front and rear badges are the same size? For the NA1?

Nope!
Depending on the color of the NA1 NSX-R there are 2 badges/part numbers to go with.
if the NSX-R is red, then the standard red badge is used, if however the NSX-R is any other color, the part number differs.
On the rear its different again, The rear symbol cannot be purchased separately and is not a single badge, on NA1 NSX-R the centre tail light lense has a black H symbol, this is inside the lense so you need to buy the whole thing, I have it on my car and posted pics of it before.
I was on about the NA2 R.

Also the front emblem changed style from NA1 to NA2 R models, the latter be a more rounded compared to the flatter, squarer earlier version.

This is the later version installed on my NSX

Paul that badge doesn't look like the later version to me? It's more like the earlier type, maybe its just the photo angle? but it looks more squared off and flatter.
This is the genuine 02+ NSX-R badge.

Only NA1 NSX-R if its on a red car!
There are 2 NA1 NSX-R badges as mentioned above. I have both and will photograph them and post the pics.
But for the larger NA2 NSX-R the one between the rear lights and the front bumper one are the same.

Yeah the rear certainly looks the same, but has a different part number from the front, still not sure why? It's been discussed to death on prime at one stage. From memory someone mentioned the rear badge, being slightly different at the back, I never checked this out with mine, and sold the NA2 R one I had.
