So just put the Enkei's on, really undecided at the moment but going to give it a week or two. They are 16/17 combo with a 9" rear. Really like the Wider rear look, much more aggressive and the offset is just about perfect.

So whats your HONEST opinions? lol

The offsets are much better (than standard) and the stance is perfect :) Personally I'm not a big fan of that particular wheel design though. Perhaps re finishing them in something a little less shiny (anthracite style) might help?

I think it suits the car...I always like the clean 5 spoke they have on the 15/16" wheels and wish they had made them bigger. The Enkei seems to fulfill that role and these ones on Sudesh's car seems to fit perfectly!

The effect on unsprung weight is also a positive - that they look lighter than the '91s is also a bonus. They suit the car.

I absolutely love these... for me, a lot of it is because they re-locate the car back to that early 5-spoke look but in a trick, arch-filling, substantial way that looks about as perfect and elegant as you could want. Excellent!

Thanks for all the comments so far, still really undecided, had the car sitting outside all day to see let the whole thing settle in with me but just not sure yet. Andrew called down in his NSX and we both went round the car and some angles we loved them, others we didnt, but I guess thats to be expected. But the offset and 9" rears are much nicer than OEM I think.

I meant that the new offsets provide the car with a perfect stance i.e. fill the arches much better than the standard ones.

Yes these offsets will introduce some positive scrub radius which as you say will add some steering feel and kickback but if any car can handle this it's the NSX as there is soo little in standard form. Dialing in a touch more negative camber will help to minimise this.

Mark I havent driven the car any distance other than out of the garage and across the back of the yard so cant really say, but I can say the steering didnt feel any heavier.

yup, saw the car in the flesh yesterday, at the start when i first saw it i was not fussed however i loved the stance and the rear view, just looks more beef-ier than standard. :eek: At certain angles the wheels look superb and give it that agressive look. Looking at the car side on I think the wheels make it look like a corvette/US car ... something not sitting with me on these. :no: but the more i looked at it, my opinion improved. As i said to Sudesh yesterday in my opinion the wheel is missing an extra spoke! but then again this is me probably thinking of the standard wheel. Thumbs up for the new stance and profile just so more aggressive than standard ... undecided about looking at the car from the side ... but i have warmed to them ... just look too US style for me :(

Any Sudesh thread is good for photo's ;) so here's a few to confirm why I think the Enkei works well .....

These are 17/18 and slightly diff offsets, but still do a good job of filling the arches.

Sudesh, even if you swap back to OEM rims, keep these as they are perfect for the car and would be my choice over the OEM. BTW, did you pop both styles on the scales??

Paul where did you get the "H" for the centre cap? I was was going to try and modify the OEM cap but the "RACING" writing is engraved quite heavy and would I need to grind the gap's down quite a bit, dont really wan to do that if there is a better option.

Old-school is ok but only if consequently done. On the white Type-R wannabe the Enkei's bite a little bit. Pure NA1/Enkei's is ok, NA2/Enkei's I'm not a fan of.

I'm always a bit concerned as to the effect of reduced offsets on passive RWS - it may merely be confirmation bias, but there does seem to be a propensity for S2000 owners to reverse off the road even quicker with aftermarket wheels then with standard ones, especially in the autumn!

The other caveat with many cars is rediced offsets can reduce the wheelbearing life makedly.

I'm not sure how much these apply to the NSX.

No, I just mean that with Enkei's I'd expect an 91-01 shape of the car, not and 02+ shape. 02+ car go better with OEM wheels. Just my 0.02.

The OEMs look better for the reasons stated.

Interestingly, I found the same on the S2000 moving from the weighty five-spokes to the JDM-optional lightweight BBS six spokes; dimensionally identical, the six spokes look a lot smaller, especially at the rear.

From the straight side shot I prefer it on the Blades but from any other angle the stance afforded by the new offsets mean I prefer it on the Enkeis.

I can't work out how to post big pics like these so try some direct side by side comparison of the angled shots. The directly from behind comparison is no contest 8)

I'd keep the Enkeis and alternate occasionally as the mood took me :)

When I first saw the photos. my immediate thoughts were " uh, No." + "don't Like" + "80's!"... let's say a very expensive late 80's.

Then they started to grow on me by time I got halfway though this thread. I then thought... from an angle, I quite like; From the side, I don't.

Now, I think I like them all the way around. maybe in the Grey, though. But then Dark colours make the car look slower...

I put new alloys on my 300zx at least once a year. Advan T7's went on yesterday..

tbh not really sure that I liked them at first, but it is fun to change the look every once in a while. So imagine you are feeling a bit of the same....
