Quick question - geometry after clutch change?

Does the suspension geometry need redoing after a clutch change, due to the many parts which are removed to get at the clutch?

Or have I just imagined that fact? :)

You do have to remove, or at least disconnect, most of the left rear suspension to change the clutch. While you can mark the position of the adjustment bolts, so that you can reassemble it in the same place, it would be best to have the alignment checked once it's all back together.

It all depends on any additional work (ride height, suspension parts, wheel, etc) or how it was done but presuming it is just the clutch then you should be fine if your mechanic marked both R & L camber adjuster bolt/cam precisely.

It will require both R & L driveshaft to be pulled out. Left one out of the trans case/diff and Right one for removing the INT shaft.

Having said this, if you drive your NSX regularly, it would be best to carry out alignment service once a year.
NSX alignment is very sensitive to even a tiny movement and I always spend about 1.5 – 2.0Hr.

Also, it could save you a lot on running cost in longer term by applying silicone grease on all of the alignment bolts/nuts to prevent corrosion or seizure as well as keeping the healthy tyre wear. Needless to say, better control of the car in both wet and dry condition which may prevent future accident.

Even if you mark the adjustment point the toe will be off as it's very sensitive to dismounting the arms.
