How dare you, mine is cleaner lol

Think the red stitching is part of the custom made programme.

Paint looks like a pearl white as to the championship white.

Not a fan of the screen on the dash but that would be easy enough sorted as long as its not drilled in, and the HKS stickers on the ashtray would have to go.

1999 car - 93,000 km / 58,000 miles on the clock. On sale for 6,480,000 Yen ~ 50,000GBP.

I've got my eye on this (http://www.carsensor.net/usedcar/detail/CU0125583417/index.html?TRCD=200002) one (being a big fan of Midnight Pearl).....

Love the stitching too! Noted that the CW NA2 02+ Type R had its own little room, wonder what the asking price for that is !?

Also interestingly, the sill plate has Custom model codes, I wonder how many customs were made at the factory, can't be that many?

I could find out, but to hazard a guess, would be easily £110k plus.

I have seen quite a few "custom made" models appear on the JDM sites.

Those custom made cars look brand new - you'd never guess that this white one had done over 50,000 miles !!

How extensive is the Custom Programme? Do they strip the car down to a bare shell, repaint and then replace all the worn parts, and clean those that can be re-used? Or am I thinking of the Refresh Programme? Or has this car been through both??

One day..........;)

Love both the white and midnight purple.

What are the import hurdles to the UK? SVA problems/timeframe?

"Custom Made" and "Refresh" are two different programs. Custom Made was for new cars and Refresh for older ones coming home (back to the factory) for a err... refresh :)

Mine came through through the "Custom Made" program I assume because of the colour, IOP was a special order colour in '97, but possibly to have some options fitted. My car was spec'd with airbags where the standard Type S spec had none.

Here's pic of my cars sill plate...

Cheers

Nick, as Mark already mentioned, its not the same as the "refresh" which your getting mixed up in. Cars that have the "custom badge" are usually speced differently in some way. As for how clean they look, most are extremely well kept and the weather and road conditions are better that here. I've seen 100,000 mile cars from Japan in better condition than 50,000miles car here.

When I got my car car from Japan, its still had all the original shrink wrap on the door sills, badge, across the speakers and leather entry pads.

SVA and mot is not a problem, time frame depends on how fast you find a car and do the paperwork that end, on the water usually 6 weeks if all goes well.

Things to be added:

Shipping cost
Insurance
17.5% VAT [20% from Jan]
10% Custom duty
MOT
SVA
TAX
First reg fee
Handling fees in Japan [can vary]
