Ancient.

The next car I'm looking forward to coming out of Japan is the Toyota FT-86. I didn't have enough change for the Lexus LFA so that was that and the NSX's successor had been disrupted by the recession. We can only wait.

Fingers crossed because Toyotas track record for main stream sports cars over the last few years is not good (not talking Lexus here just there affordable models).

When you think how good the original MR2 and Celicas were its been a trip down hill. Although pretty sure in those days they had big tie ins with Lotus.

The 90s MR2 and Celica were great fun but don't forget the beast that's the Supra every schoolboy and import tuner's wet dream. Amazingly, I have yet to ride in one.

Drove a friend's mk1 MR2 which was fun, similar & more up to date than my X1/9. Been a passenger in TT Supra, which was quick in a straight line, probably slightly quicker than a NA2, but not sure how quick they are in the twisty bits?

The TT Supra is the only one to have. Definitely only really ever modded by owners for the quartermile. Certainly not known for its handling and I've seen a BM video where a DC2 was hanging with it in a corner. lol.

A friend used to have a popup supra. He saw and drove my nsx yesterday for the first time, and I think he is now in urgent need of another Japanese car :D
