Allot of the facelift NSX-R's I have seen are usually white, seen a couple of black and mix of others, but rarely do you see red, which would be my choice.

Nice BTW. :)

that really looks special, but the NSX-R is too hard for UK roads. I went in the white one that was for sale last year and it was awful. You could feel every little bump in the road. Worse than a 996 GT3 MK1, which was nearly as bad. In addition the interior has a shiny rubber finish instead of high quality plastic/leather, and there is no power steering! But, I love those Recaro seats

Hi Sudesh,

So you buy this one and I'll buy your current one :)

For me the NSX without EPS is a much nicer car to drive.

I've never sat in one but from my pics, the leather should be matt black and more of a nappa style as its looks much smoother. If the one you were in had a shiny finish it was probably polished using those gloss wipes or sprays, not a fan of that look.

Here's a few pics of what I mean

lol could be a long wait there Paul!

No price listed for the red car but as you know will be £££££££££!!!

As for my car, no intention of selling, but if it was an obscene amount of money then you never know!

There is more than one NA1 NSX-R in the UK, there are 2 and possibly a third!

There are two British owned NA1s, one who is a member here and the other owned by Flemke (PH), but
located here or near the Ring?

One NA2 owned by an ex member here, but no more we think?

There is possibly a third white NA1 I know off, but cant confirm it 100%.

According to a good friend of mine, (also an NSX owner), there are more in the UK but even though they watch NSXCB, they dont post ... so keep your eyes peeled because one day you might just spot a rather rare Honda ...

With that said, the 'known' cars are 2 x NA1 and 1 x NA2 and an occasionally mentioned 3rd NA1 as per Sudesh's post.

I have just watched the NSX test on Top Gear where Hammond tests the NSX-R, Honda only sold 23 NSX's in one year (not sure which year) is that figure world wide or in the U.K????

As mentioned previously, there are are only 3 possibly 4 NSX-R's in the country that are know. So the figure is not based on the UK.

NSX-R was never officially sold anywhere else but the Japan. Any you see here or anywhere else for that matter, they were imported.

If they sold 23 in one year it would have been in Japan.

Ah thanks for that, i think the 23 sold in one year though was just NSX's in general and not NSX-R's.

Ah right! Well then that's possibly the UK, think someone on here had a record of cars that sold per year.

This was posted on Piston Heads, no idea of its right or not:

Back on topic. Love that red facelift, but couldn't live with those white wheels.

The whole NSX wheel thing throws me really. When I had the blue NSX's the colour is so vibrant you don't really need to change anything. If you change the wheel colour it generally makes the car look dull or reminds me of a special edition Ford.
Now with the red car. I was considering going for gun metal or black wheels, but if you go for black you lose the definition in the alloys and gun metal just seems to dilute the overall colour.
This leaves me liking the black roof on any red NSX's regardless of age but thinking silver wheels are the best option, although on the face of it, it's boring.

Cheers,

James.

James,

What about a titanium finish to the wheels with black roof?

I tend to agree with you James, no sure on the whole white wheel thing either? I know it's true to the NSX-R but really is allot going on when the car isnt white. On my own NSX-R quest, I thought about doing the wheels in white many times but just cant see me taking the plunge.

Mmm..... Perhaps. I'll probably settle for the black roof, mirrors and the black rear spoiler. I'd consider the scooped bonnet but the paint on this car is very good and original. Got the iPod connector in though and partway through getting the brake and tyres on. I may rent a ramp later in the week, finish off the brakes and get the old tubi on. Really missing the sound, although the car feels pretty civilized. I bought an Ally gearnob from SOS last year and now need to modify it to fit the shorter thread on the 04 car. Can't understand why they changed the design as the previous shifter worked really well.

Cheers,

James.

See for me on an NSX NA2, the wheels should always be silver, think it suits the NSX perfectly, quite like the white wheels on the Type R model as most Honda Type R's have had white wheels in the past.

whatever colour they are.. bottom line IS.

They should be covered in brake dust on a regular basis!

Love the red car.. New formula red?
