I've just bought a very special and last year of production Nissan 300ZX. Its May 1999 and a special edition called the Version S, only 18,000 genuine miles from new and I can only describe it as the same, even smells like new and everything from seats, to switches, interior and all details look and feel like it just came out of Nissan showroom. I always like to have a nice poke around and under the rear seats and around the boot floor, there is still signs of the original shrink wrap! The wheel still have the factory body color grey DOT, on each wheel, and the callipers are still in the OEM finish. Even under the arches and around the suspension are pretty much spotless. The car came with the original handooks and service book and I have the original de-reg certificate which states the previous miles before export. The targa blinds/inserts and storage cases are there along with unused tools and spare wheel. It even has all the OEM interior stickers that came from the factory.

Loads of photos as usual lol

Yeah planning on keeping this one as its extremely rare in the UK, some of the guys on the Z club reckon there is only 2 or 3 in total in the UK, I cant be sure but it may be the only one on our shores; the auto is very nice and as its an n/a car its very smooth.

Sweet ... she really is clean mate, and will be as rare as an NSX on our shores ... even rarer!

Nissan was a great car before they got tainted with Renault :(

Excellant find & condition. I like the way the red in the seats changes from different angles.

Are you keeping those zebra mats!

For me this is the the best "Z" car from Nissan, the Z32. You can take it a drive anytime its dry lol

Those are the factory fitted luxury pile mats as fitted in Japan and cost back then £223.25, if there prices are anything like Honda, probably more expensive now, so yeah keeping the car pretty much as is. The only thing I thought about adding was a rear spoiler, but think I'll leave that now as I really want the keep the car pretty close to the way it came from the factory.

Hell of a timewarp there!

Unlikely to appreciate, but certainly a collector's piece...looks to be in good hands then...

Not sure if I agree with the appreciate in value part, UK cars in good condition have been appreciating in value but unfortunately they are hard to find now. Real good JDM ZX's are also creeping up slowly. My Version S is a limited edition, last year of production and I can only describe it as genuine showroom condition and genuine low miles. I cant be 100% sure on this but, from my understanding it may be one of only 3 known to to the club, and I'm not sure if the other 2 are Version S cars and one is a 98. I'm pretty sure its the only one in Ireland now.

There is a similar car for sale in Japan at the moment, has more miles at 37,000 and that car would stand around 13/14k on the road here.

Great car Sudesh, congratulations.

I had a Z32 back in 93/94 I was overseas and it was the SWB version, I loved that car!

Would love to find a SWB, T-Top, TT, pearl white with the smaller rear spoiler ( pre 96 I believe )

Such fun cars and really advanced with hicas etc.

Thanks Ary!

Had my first 300ZX back around 94, UK TT Manual in Yellow. To date I've had 10 of them.

SWB is a rare car also, white is probably my favourite color in them too, although I prefer the standard white as apposed to the pearl.

Is the spoiler you mentioned same as this one or the older version again

Hi Sudesh I like the "solid" non platform spoiler as my car had, Nissan must have lost money on them cars.

So a little update.

I didnt mention at the start that I actually had 3 300ZX's at the same time lol, one standard 1996 Twin Turbo and 2 Very Rare Version-S cars, both 1999 but one was even more special as it was a Twin Turbo Version-S with some nice and rare bits fitted.

I sold the other 2 and have kept the Twin Turbo Version-S and no plans on selling as its extremely rare.

Agin its one of the very last, This ZX is totally factory standard and pretty much showroom condition, it even still smells like new and it has very little signs of road grime anywhere. Up under the arches is still like new and you can even see the original factory dots on the suspension and there in places you can still see the shrink wrap from when it was new.

From doing some research there are only 2 1999 Version-S cars in the entire UK/Ireland/Europe and I had both, but now resides in the UK.

The Version-S is a special edition which was only available in Japan, the seats are unique to this model along with some other bits. This car also has the very rare factory fitted xenon headlights which are different to the standard car. Being thats its a 99 car it has many face lifted features too and body structure improvements.

So here you go! Loads of pics lol

Seems an immaculate example, but for me it's missing the most important thing and that's a driver involvment stick in the middle of the car.

an even better looking car in the flesh. the pics dont do the car justice ... it is in immaculate condition, more so than the pictures make out. the car is completely standard and totally unabused, everything is where it should be. a cracker find for sure and relish the opportunity to get out for a spin in it as i have never been in a 300 variant before.
