EDDIE STOBART DIES AGED 56
Haulage legend succumbs to heart problems

Edward Stobart, the man who built up the Eddie Stobart road haulage magnate, has died at the age of 56.
Stobart, who turned the business started by his father Eddie up into a giant of the logistics industry, died this morning from what have been described as 'heart problems' in hospital in Coventry.
Stobart sold the firm to business partner Andrew Tinkler and his brother in 2004, but not before creating the best-known haulage firm in the country, smartening up the image of the trucking industry, and giving hundreds of thousands of motorway drivers a great 'I spy' game to play to stave off the inevitable boredom of an M-road journey.
Our thoughts (and - we're sure - those of all on PH) are with his family and friends.
