Well as some know, I have the OEM NSX-R speedo setup. Today I was tidying up my NSX spare parts and came across an old standard fascia, it was part of a damaged speedo unit I purchased a couple of years ago and the fascia had a small crack and the surface was scratched in places.

Anyway instead of throwing it out I took a stab and doing some more 3M Carbon Vinyl wrapping. A little bit time consuming and takes allot of care and close to the edge cutting and long time bedding in the vinyl at the edges.

However I think it turned out well! Its not 100% complete yet, just a few more tiny cuts to make but I'm glad now I didnt throw it out lol

For comparison, this is the OEM NSX-R one in my car

As I'm already doing a speedo conversion on Andrews JDM car, it was easy for me to swap the fascia into his to give you an idea on the what the carbon style fascia looks like.

It was hard to photograph with so much light reflecting of the clear screen, but anyway here it is installed.

Nice work

Your version looks miles better than the OEM NSX-R one, imho. The latter looks like that dodgy printed plastic faux-carbon they put in the DC2 centre console :P

Many thanks!

I was quite shocked myself at how good it turned out and its a much nice in the flesh. Almost wish I had done this before buying the the OEM NSX-R one lol

The NSX-R one is NOT genuine carbon either, it is pretty much a matt carbon plastic affect, more than likely the same as you described.

lol YES! I thought that might be a decision

For you its a free upgrade, I can just swap this mod to your car and move all the correct plastic inserts to the fascia.
