Hi Mark, car looks really good, Zonda looks alright

Any photos from anybody else as I know at least 5 other NSXCB members who went.

I was there too, with Sarah! also Papa (he who occasionally stops for breath), and Hagasan (our table Moto expert!) :)

didn't see the Zonda in the show on saturday, (there was a silver one in the supercar paddock) but was there to witness the glorious moment it arrived, delivering a guest for the Ball...... and grinding the splitter (loudly, to a huge 'OH' from the assembled throng) on the drive in front of the house!!!

My Dad and I came up on Friday and camped with Ian and Penny (Silverbullet), then went in early Saturday. My Dad was properly chuffed with our Honda tickets, although my entrance ticket was invalid!
Anyway, we got in and had the most amazing day. I could not believe the scale of the event and how good the vibe was.
Our passes gave us fast track onto the Honda eye. Unfortunately we had to wait nearly an hour for the que to get large enough to get the full effect. Once on, the red arrows started their display. A pretty amazing spectacle.
The Grp B and F1 cars were also great to watch winding up the hill course. Couldn't get over the noise. And as for Gasoline alley.
We dropped into a few manufacturer stands which were bigger than some of the franchises I sell to.
Sat in an Evora, which was much better than I remembered. Also tortured myself by looking at a Boxster Spyder.
It was really good having a base for the day. Honda looked after us really well. The food was great. However, I had no idea who any of the sponsored drivers/riders were.
In the end, we made our way back to the car just after seven and had a great meal a few miles down the road. Everyone we spoke to had been to or was going to the festival, and I loved the fos radio station. I was a little sad when it finally faded out on the way home.
For an event that I had no real interest in going to, it was perhaps one of my best days out ever.

Thanks to Chris for getting the tickets from Honda and Ian and Penny for looking after us and being such great company.

Cheers,

James.

Just a couple of phone photo's for your enjoyment, as usual we got in early each morning and as you can see there weren't many people around when we went on the Honda Eye.

We had a great time, the best days for moving around the site being Thursday and Friday, Saturday was so busy and I hate to think how busy Sunday was !

It was good to have the company of James (Papa) and dad Richard both at the event and for a couple of evening meals at our favourite pub,

Cheers,

Ian

I was there on Sunday, sorry to have missed you chaps :(

Had to keep it a bit quiet as it was a birthday surprise for Claire, and she occasionally looks on here so I didn't post anything about it

It was a fantastic event, I can't get over how good it was, the race cars on display and in action, the manufacturer stands were better than I've seen at any motor show I've been to, the whole thing was just awesome.

Wish I'd gone for longer and made a few days out of it, didn't feel I'd done it justice and could have easily spent another day (or two) taking it all in.

I was at the FoS Friday, Saturday & Sunday (and yes, Sunday was jolly busy, but we spent our time on the rally stage & in the stands, so all quite comfortable).

Anyway....a question.....I had a chat with the charming Horatio Pagani and he showed me the 'key' to his new motor (which my son christened 'Donkey Ears'!) it is a nice alloy model of the car, with remote lock/unlock buttons on the base, and when broken in half, it reveals a USB stick, which when plugged into the car applies your personal engine map etc. settings. Conceptually neat I feel, but the execution, perhaps a tad naff?

(An opinion I didn't share with the good Mr. Pagani!)

I'm glad you all had a good time, I'm not jealous MUCH!

My Dad and brother went on the Sunday, my brother sat in the new 911 GT3 RS and said to the Porche guy "these Recaros are bit uncomfortable could I order it with normal seats"
