This might be a re-post but if you haven't seen Mark Higgins lap of the IoM TT circuit in a near standard Impreza STi you should. Great drive, GREAT save (at Bray Hill) and great "circuit"... http://www.evo.co.uk/videos/planetevovideos/269212/new_subaru_tt_video.html
I went there a couple of years ago in the NSX and would thoroughly recommend the experience to car drivers even though its better known as a Mecca for bikers. Just don't take the Mrs as it doesn't offer much for the ladies
Now go and find some videos of the bike boys averaging 15mph faster! Nutters
By the way I'm kidding about the Nurburgring
Cheers
Mark

Did the TT 8 years on the trot, with my bikes, for a complete blokey holiday there's nowt to match it (just remember to take a spare liver).
Been back a few times in various cars (not the NSX yet though), also well recomended, especially for an early morning run or two over the mountain when there's hardly any traffic about, providing you get the weather.
I'm hoping to get the Lambo over there in Sept, but will definately not be trying to copy Mr Higgins antics at the bottom of Bray (new pants please!!!)

Went there 4 years ago in the NSX, awesome place espcially over the mountains! You need luck with the weather though.
I cannot believe the lap record on a bike is 130 mph AVERAGE !!
They do great smoked kippers & someone stuck a note on my windscreen wanting to buy my car !

Higgins 'save' is stunning, a genuinely brown-trousers moment.
It does show the difference between a pro (who when that happens will instinctively correct, THEN be right back at 10/10ths again and ignoring that it even happened in the first place) and any one of us (who even if we did catch it would pull over, count our limbs, then walk around the car counting things like wheels and body panels before sitting down and having a cigarette/beer/quiet 'moment' as we realise that the life that's just flashed in front of our eyes wasn't actually that exciting! ;) )
I'm not a biker, so seeing THAT happen on 4 wheels, and then trying to relate that to 2-wheels gave me even more respect for the guys who attack the Mountain each year...I can only assume the fuel-tanks have special cut-outs in them to accomodate the size of these guys balls!
