Musing at the moment, it's a good price, been for sale for a few months, but hasn't sold.
Anyone know why? Is it a bit shabby?

Apologies, just read that back and it seemed sarcastic when I was actually being serious! Lol

I found your thread from earlier on, on it.

It seems like a pretty straight car, my concern is that it's been for sale for a while now, are sales of nsx's slowing up a bit?

It's only really the later cars that are gold dust.

You're talking about a 21yo car with 107K on it. OK, that shouldn't matter since it's a Honda, but things will suffer from age & be hideously expensive to repair.

I suppose its scrap value is around 10K, all working, so it's kind of very much NOT the sort of car someone with only 15K could really afford to run, IYSWIM.

Now; if you wanted it as a garage queen and intended to hang onto it for years, it'd probably make an excellent buy nonetheless.

The irony is; someone would give 30 large for a Ferrari twice as old which really would be a PoS

Thanks for the reply nick, the car would be a second car, was thinking of just keeping it for a year and moving on again, a wise decision?

I'd expect to spend at least a grand or so on maintenance, even doing less than 4 or 5 k a year.

Realistic?

Keep it for a year and spend AT LEAST a grand, easy .... how many grand do you want to spend!
Keep it for a year and spend less than a grand, depends on where the car is in its maintenance cycle, down to that specific car, cam belt/water pump, valves, tyres, air-con components, audio components.
If you averaged the cumulative of that spend over say 5 years then easier than 1 year only.
Look at the car yourself, look at other cars, in the end only you can say.

Even with a big service, I never spent more than £1k on mine in any year.

If any car is likely to hold its value on a quick turnaround, it's an NSX.

Be warned; they are addictive! Actually, about five years ago I bought a Prelude just to find out the crack on the 4WS was and I now won't part with it either!

Don't tell me that, that makes it a sensible purchase :D

Where's the best place to find an NSX specialist in the north east?
