Quick question regarding painting lower rear bumpers. Are the black bits normal Berlina Black NH547?
Mine looks more of a satin finish, was not sure whether it should be a different finish or it's an age thing?

I'm pretty sure its just black plastic and not painted. Which exact are are you thinking about?

I did actually wonder if it was a 'natural plastic finish' but what happens if it gets scratched?
I'm thinking 02+ rear valence.
How about un-lacquered berlina black paint?

Simon,

my 02 valence is painted satin black on the black sections...

Have you started the ABS job yet? I'll give you a bell sometime soon...just been snowed under at work...

Cheers,

Gary

Thanks Gary. So, berlina satin, is there such a thing? I suppose any satin black will do...

ABS will hopefully be completed tomorrow. :)

I've high-gloss black on my 02+ rear valence. It looks odd not painted.

I'm convinced mine (pre-FL) is also painted. It's not plasticcy enough.

The whole of the black bits are either paint or ape tape.

It's a real contrast with moderns, where everything is really crappy hard plastic (so it may easily be recycled) & looks like packaging.

When I installed mine I left the centre section unpainted as per OEM ... you end up with a satin black finish for the OEM material ...

You really need to take that wrap off, that colour is stunning!
