abs light on

hi had abs sensor fitted to o/s front the abs light is still on . did the paper clip thing and the abs lite on for 2 sec then went out for 5 seconds then lite 1 sec then went out 5 sec lite for 1 sec then stayed off ?
any ideas, the sensor came from the usa, would this expain fault code ? cheers
