Welcome to NSX ownership.
There are meets arranged through the year, keep your eyes peeled in the 2012 events section when the weather turns a bit milder...

Depending upon where in the SE you are, check out the Kent Car Club. I've been out with them a few times and they have a couple of good runs and are very appreciative and have a mixed ownership from wild 400+hp Turbo MR2 to showroom mint V8 M3's ... and when I was out with them in early December, the owner was in discussions to buy an MC-12 Maserati ....
See you soon ... which one have you bought?
regards, Paul

Congrats Geoff,
Welcome to NSX ownership.
There are more than many meets in the SE.
Just take the lead and post up a place with food/coffee and see whether some owners be keen to meet...the current early nightfall and cold snap will put people off....occasional Sunday am meet at a coffee place with good parking will get some owners keen to stretch their cars legs getting there and back.
Otherwise, I have attended the Essex Pistonheads meet with a few owners at the Lodge in South Woodham Ferrers which occur monthly.

Funny you should post this as I was thinking of holding a Saturday/Sunday morning meet here
http://www.oldschoolcafe.co.uk/
I tried it out last Saturday and it's very nice. Just need to make sure the weather is OK. This weekend looks like it will struggle to get above 1 or 2 deg.

Should be a few around Hampshire which is not far. If we come up your way we should be able to get Kaz to play!
Which car have you got, is it Jim's from Christchurch in Dorset?
I haven't seen any 98 3.2's for sale, a great combo and interested in knowing more details including price and mileage of not too cheeky and you're willing to share (feel free to pm). It's very hard to keep tabs on prices for the later cars and I'm always interested to think how much mine may have gone up in the last 12 months!!

I dont think its "Jims from Dorset". I dont think its known to the NSXCB members although I could be wrong.
I have bought it from a guy up north (Oswestry). 2 owners from new. The original owner was a doctor from Reading and then the guy I have bought it from. Its in beautiful condition and appears to have good provenance/ service history/ good bodywork, paintwork and interior (black leather) and only 46,000 miles. Only thing I want to do to it is a good thorough service (for piece of mind rather than necessity as it is well maintained) and a new cam belt (ouch) again for piece of mind. I might get Kaz to do his 150 point check up too.
Took an NSXCB member (Kingsley, many thanks) along with me and he thought it was in excellent condition too
Only other thoughts are to update the interior a little with a double din Satnav/ phone/ hifi.........thoughts?

Don't, it looks out of place and some, i.e. me, would say it looks wrong/cheap!
Add a USA Spec or Grom adapter to integrate your iPod/MP3 player into the factory headunit and use a portable TomTom/Garmin etc for the 1 in 10 journeys when you don't already know the final location.
Cheers

I'm easy about what time we meet, so someone suggest a time that suits.
Looking forward to meeting you all, and hope to have my NSX by then (not long now) although if the weather is like it is today I wont be driving it! (I'll bring pictures)

From their website you would be correct, however I do know that other car clubs use the Old School Cafe as a meeting place, so I'll give them ring.
If this is closed I can either find somewhere else nearby, or the place that Silver Suffer is talking about is this one
http://www.7hoteldiner.co.uk/
a 2 minute drive from Jcn 4 of the M25.

If its not snowing or raining I'll be coming with a couple of friends. I can always ask Porsche Hatfield if they'll host if we're stuck. Lots of parking and free coffee and tea :D

Sorry Mark and Geoff, it looks like you'll need to travel to Kent.
Shall we wait and see what the weather is like before we pick a time.

I'd prefer an early(ish) start too....subject to weather conditions. LR weather predicts 30% chance of rain, 6˚C.

I dont normally go "saaf of the Rivaaah" but given that I asked for the meet in the first place I ought to make the effort despite it being far from home (Bucks)
At least I'll get to take my NSX for a spin......I'll be there (depending on the weather) ....name the time although the earlier the better

Hi Rich, Paul
I'll will travel down the A12 with Rich and meet at the usual place at the Junction 28 (Brentwood) service station and meet you there unless you want us to meet you on the A13.
Rich, Meet me at the Shell garage at the Marks Tey turn off at 8pm.
We will need to meet Phill (214NSX) around junction 2 of the M25.....is there any service station or Lay-by after the QE bridge where he can meet us?
SS
Senninha
18-02-2012, 05:12 PM
To meet Phil it would probably be best to call him as you exit the tunnel. He can then pull onto M25 and merge into the convoy.
Don't know about where everyone else is right now but it's been absolutely pouring down here for the past hour ... Might have an issue getting the car out if it doesn't stop soon ...
If all OK, will see you at J28
Regards, Paul

I presume you mean the BP station on the roundabout on the A12 just before you go onto the M25 (about 2 miles before)?
I'll get there for 8:30 too.
I'll be in the red one and just in case I get lost here is my number 07402 906221

Geoff, not sure if it is a BP garage but it's on the A1023 as if you are heading towards Brentwood literally 100 yards off the roundabout on the left hand side.
I'll be in the best colour, red

At the South East mini meet on 19th Feb someone (I cant remember who) had fitted a Parrot hands free kit in the ashtray void.
I'd be interested in how this was wired in and whether the Hifi automatically mutes when answering a call

That was Steve with the silver car, I was with you when he showed you and he said it did mute.
