This might be a stupid question, but did your lights pop? Just wondering how much ice it takes to freeze them shut.

errr yeah, why wouldn't they??? even after i washed it the other evening it was all ok, and i was having to hose off soapy ice to rinse it!!!

the only ice issue i've had was a couple of years ago.... getting the doors to open off the old door seals

Mine was like that but in red. No problem with the head lights popping up.

My mum has got an old Celica GT4, and they used to freeze shut at the sight of ice, proof that Honda re better that Toyota

'Lude's wipers couldn't shift the iced snow!

But there's an override to stop them frying the motors.

4WS is great on summer tyres on ice!
