Hi all,
Just starting the recommisioning of my `99 3.2 - among other things, the calipers are coming off for sorting out - they are currently colour coded to the body - were they like this from new or should they be black?

I guess factory would be black, which would be my choice, but I`d like to get it right.

Thanks, Dan.

Satin black for yours if you are wanting OEM look.

... and if they're not OEM or Brembo, they belong on a Nova ...

OEM caliper color as Simon says above is Satin Black. 02+ changed to Gold for no apparent reason. NSX-R is a matt graphite grey.

My car is MY01 (NA2, pre-facelift) and left the factory with (& retains) pale-gold coloured calipers.

Satin Black it is - stock OEM all the way!

Though if I kept them body coloured I could team them with vented discs, green pads and orange neon light valve caps....

Many thanks, Dan.

I used Savage gold on mine, but it's a bit too gold, really - like a Facelift.

I'd be tempted to mix their silver & gold for the true cadmium-passivated finish.

The true colour for a 1996 NA1 and before that my 1999 3.2 Targa was a dark green/grey metallic - it is not satin black. If I can achieve it I will post a picture of a brand new NA2 rear caliper that I have in the loft.

Looks good to me mate and I bet it's an improvement on tired old original calipers

Originalities great if your owning for investment purposes but if you own and drive it coz you love it then stuff the anoraks and do what you want with it:D

Just my personal opinion as an owner of an unoriginal modified nsx

Not trying to be an anorak nor trying to persuade a person to have an original car - indeed the more modifieds out there the more mine will skyrocket as an investment.....lol Just providing the facts to a question.
