Hello everyone,

Im new here, just joined.. i am owner of two Honda NSX's.. the only problem i have is that i dont know what types i have, Type R? Type S? not even too sure what year either? i think they are 1996 model. if there is any checks you guys know that i can do on the car to know what type and engine size i have? would be much appreciated.

i can upload pictures if that will help?

thanks in advance :)

Not type S by the look of the exhaust. If auto the definitely not type s or R.

Seats would be the teller; if comfy leather then std, if buckets then maybe s but unlikely given exhaust.

Black one looks pretty nice though, silver one from castle Combe crash?

Both cars are JDM models ...

Black has had retrim plus after Market wheels and bonnet ...

If silver is ex coombe car then it's not yours is it?

Welcome to the club..

If it is the Ex Coombe car than it definitely will have a track-rod missing...:D

Gives us a clue and let us know how many gears it has got and what is the seat look like ...are both cars seats identical?

Seats aren't the Type S/R so probably not...just standard NSX...now the gears..

The Combe car was a UK car not JDM IIRC.

I thought it was an auto import. Surely the roof would be a bit crumpled!

JDM auto converted to manual ...

Still waiting for an answer ...

From what I can see, neither of those cars are Type S and definitely not an R.

both cars are imports.. the silver one isnt from the coombe crash.. silver one was smashed from the front end, needs alot of work done to it. i honestly dont know much about the NSX's.. but i guess im going to learn alot being here.

the front bonnet on the black NSX was like that when i bought it so im not sure whether it is after market or not? it is metal.

i do actually have a problem with the car at the moment, when i kick down it doesnt always have full power, sometimes i can have my foot fully down and i can only get up to like 30-40MPH.

If you send me the vin number on the plate under the bonnet, I can tell you what year the cars are etc.

The bonnet on the black car is either aftermarket or the original one has been modified.

The Combe one is no longer a car as it was bought and parted by a forum member.

Op do not feel too bad the car has been crashed I think that the majority of uk cars have had some action!
