    One owner contacted me for his A/C CCU board issue.

    Suddenly, he lost the power to the CCU and there was nothing
    on the display and completely dead even pressing on
    any of the buttons.


    Typical CCU failure mode addition to the one such as
    the fan only operates at the max speed setting.

    Interesting enough, just a few days later,
    another owner contacted me with exactly the same issue.

  4. Low mileage LMA service 09

    So, started the engine to warm it up in preparation for
    the compression check after the service and while measuring the
    wheel stud bolt length for other purpose, the tappetty noise came back.


    Back to the white board.


    In fact, replacing the LMA cleared the background noise caused
    by the sticky LMA and now I can distinguish two different noises.

    Both noises seemed to be at the same frequency as the INJ pulse

    This engine is equipped with the larger diameter VTEC spool valve
    so it’s the original design and thus, requires the ver.PR3 filters.

    Also, it is important to replace the bolts especially the short
    ones because they are exposed to the heat and moisture resulting
    in corrosion.
