    If you can solve your issue by installing aftermarket parts to reduce the friction at the window regulator assy, you are very lucky.

    However, normally the regulator itself is rated at 150 – 200% capacity for the weight of the glass and the direction of the force so even with the tired regulator or increased friction

    Have been tackling the door window alignment for many days recently with one nearly dead finger as a result.






    It looks like someone already mistreated some of the parts that I planned reusing and at the end, I had to make custom adjustments that were not on the workshop manual.

    While working on the Door Glass Refresh, I was servicing the door AMP for another owner.

    He told me that after about 5 – 20min using the audio system, it will start making loud popping noise.
    Typical capacitor leakage so thought it’s going to be an easy fix.

    Hm…. It’s dirty but you don’t want to apply any force in this area especially around the linkage and the plastic fasteners.
    Removing the rod from the linkage is easy if you know the trick but it’s time consuming

    European spec high pressure washer motor, grommet, seal sponge. The old motor was still active but lost pressure so already partially dead.
