    While preparing for the compression test,
    I noticed that I couldn’t get WOT
    (Wide Open Throttle, full open throttle).

    Found that the metal collar that was originally placed at
    the edge of the rubber boot on the TH cable came off
    long time ago and was wedged in the throttle linkage.

    Time for the compression check after the Engine Refresh.

    Full data has been forwarded to the owner.

    Really pleased with the data.
    Once again, it confirmed the limit and difficulty of standard service.

  3. Eng Refresh Stage 2 – Prep 01

    Started to work on another NSX.

    The service menu is the Engine Refresh Stage 2.

    It’s 3.2L LEV latest model and it already has later spec LMA so
    no need to replace them.
    Still, will overhaul the VTEC spool valve and
    replace its filter and gasket.

    For this service menu, regardless of the condition,
    the CRK/CYL sensor will be replaced as a pre-caution and
    oil pan will be removed to replace the

    Yes, I’m biased because I have carried out the engine refresh on
    this engine, but still,
    really pleased with the result.

    So much better than before and all six cyl really close each other.

    The corrosion protection oil is just everywhere inside the engine bay.

    It’s bit annoying because every time when I remove the bolts, nuts or
    any parts, I have to first wipe off the excess oil from them and then
    wipe off my hands before moving onto the next parts otherwise
    it will not only attract further dust
