During the annual service, I always recommend the owners to carry out the engine compression check to keep eye on the condition of the engine. I carried out Engine Refresh on this engine about 2 years ago and at that time, I was really pleased to see the identical compression result across the cylinders after the service. Interesting to see the condition of this engine after 2 years. ...
As I have never worked on this NSX, included the compression check as a part of the service menu. I’m too scared to deal with the spark plugs while the engine is hot and also I have no idea on what was done to them in the past so I always remove them while the engine is cold. Then, re-install them to warm up the engine in preparation for the compression check. Once warmed up, I have to remove the spark plugs again ...
