  1. Annual Service 02

The owner mentioned that the shift feeling is bit notchy but not sure whether it is due to the super low mileage or not (well below 10K miles).

So, after the general check up, adjusted the tyre pressure and went out for the test driving session.
The Front tyre was too old (7yrs old) and I think I should have increased my own tyre pressure setup by 1 - 2psi for today as it was very cold.
The shift feeling didn’t change much between cold and hot MTF

Whenever I drain the MTF, I always check the state of the strainer to understand the condition of the transmission.

The big particles will be trapped by the magnet plate at the bottom of the trans case but the metal powder and small particles are held inside this strainer before going through the oil pump.

For this NSX, as the owner has already ...

  5. Wheel Speed Sensor and Drive Shaft 07

Unless your NSX is for the track day only, you need soft viscosity but strong oil film for the manual transmission oil.

Unlike other Gbox, not all of the gears are submerged in the oil on our NSX.

It circulates the oil by the built-in oil pump which is operated by the Final Driven Gear and spot showers the oil to each component through the hollow shafts so soft viscosity is the key factor until it warms up.
