    Thought not much to report while removing the parts and cleaning inside the engine but several inof for the owner.





    As reported earlier, the coolant was leaking from the WP. The bolt torque was lower at the leaked area. Because it was left for a long time, the corrosion managed to chew into the mating surface. ...

    Checked existing valve clearance and although I didn't warm up the garage enough today, they were way too tight. Only one of the exh valve at Cyl #1 and both exh valves at Cyl #2 were within the spec. Rest of them were all too tight but by very consistent amount. Didn't see noticeable difference at Cyl #3, 4, 5 that consistently showed about 10psi lower figure from other cyl for the compression check.

    No eyesore excessive liquid gasket usage, please.
    The area should be clean and shiny.

    In the meantime, just keep removing the parts and cleaning, cleaning, cleaning......






    All four cam shafts removed and rocker arms exposed.
