  1. CCU Illumination

    by , 02-10-2012 at 12:14 PM (Today at Atelier Kaz - ex-Honda R&D, F1, Indy/CART engineer)

While working on MX5 engine, I was looking into the way on how to
disable the dim function on the illumination at CCU display (VFD).

Can’t remember how it used to be when my NSX was new but
    as many owners experienced,
it is almost impossible to see anything on the display of Clock, CCU and
Audio Head Unit during the daylight when the small side light is
    switched on.

    As reported earlier in this

Making good progress although my hands and hair were covered in engine oil......

    Overhauling the HLA.

After washing these in the parts cleaner, rinsed them in the brake cleaner and
then time to assemble them in the bucket of engine oil.

As this is NSX site, I won’t go too much in detail for non-NSX related service.

I’m just posting this for the owners waiting for my service so that
they have some idea on what is happening at my place at the moment.

Also, there are several topics that can be shared with NSX so

    by , 26-09-2012 at 10:37 PM (Today at Atelier Kaz - ex-Honda R&D, F1, Indy/CART engineer)

As reported last Saturday, I had to give my battery up for the owner as
his battery condition got worse and worse and finally completely failed on
the day he was collecting his NSX from my place.

All Honda battery is covered by 3 years warranty and although
I didn’t have the receipt for this specific battery that I bought in June 2011,
there was several engraved codes on the battery itself and one of them

  5. Final Touch, sort of .....

Normally, I prefer not to drive the car after washing it before
the owner visits my place for collection.

At the same time, I don’t want to drive someone’s NSX in the traffic so
for this NSX, I had to wash it yesterday and then carry out the
test driving session this morning in order to check the ABS before
the owner visits me in the afternoon.
