  1. Eng Refresh Stage 2 - 18

Today, I was happy with the metal temperature of the engine so decided to carry out the valve clearance adjustment.

So much easier to go through this process while the engine is out of the car especially when dealing with the rear bank.

Still, it took several hours as it was like talking to the metal over and over again. Adjust it, torque it, re-check, re-adjust and torque it again until I was happy with the minute difference.

Well….. Started the valve clearance adjustment process this afternoon but as I didn’t turn the oil heater early enough, the engine metal temperature felt too cold compared to the room temperature so had to stop the process half way.

Looks like outside temperature dropped further than expected and couldn’t keep the garage temperature high enough.

I’ll need to repeat the same process again tomorrow.

Working on another CCU board in parallel with the one (Blog header A - **) mentioned earlier.

From the batch no. on the case, both CCU boards looked to be from similar year model but this one showed worse condition than the other one.
