    The defrost panel is now placed inside the cabin.

    My imagination was not too bad.

    Almost perfect angle and just required tiny amount of adjustment for the fixing bolt hole.


    As I didn’t like one of the tired plastic fastener at the left side, replaced it with aftermarket new one.

    It holds the panel much better. ...

    Now the biggest challenge is the completely broken fixing tabs at the centre left and right of the panel.


    It would be much quicker and easier to simply replace this panel with the new one but it will cost US$238+delivery+tax, etc even from US and Honda UK will charge you GBP368+VAT…


    If one of the tab was only partially damaged, I could use it as ...

    Analysing the cause of the noise is talking lots of time and thus, not much updates on the Blog.


    Even after removing the dash board and fixing screws from the defrost panel, depending on where I press, it makes some creaking noises.


    I’m quite impressed with the amount of foam and felt wool already applied to this panel to minimise the noise.


    There were lots of know-how from the refresh process ...

    As it was getting late, decided to just shift the dashboard to investigate the level of damage to the defrost vent panel.

    Three out of four fixing tabs were cracked and lots of pieces were left there.


    This is the reason why it was making so much noise because the panel was not fixed properly and ...

    The cracked parts were glued but as they didn’t use the anti-vibration type, already most of the crack were back there.

    Looks like someone worked on the CCU in the past but put too much force when installing the unit back in palce.

    Bottom of the case at both sides were already cracked…
