    I’m still cleaning the engine components even after spending hours on them.



    And I haven’t even started the cleaning process on the cyl head side….

    Looks like these cam holders were never washed in the past.


    Most of the grooves for the oil jet were covered in black sticky residue.


    Needs really good wash up…


    Even under this condition, all of the oil jets were not blocked.

    New WP, new bolts with the red sealant and the original dowel pins.

  4. Parts Price

    Honda Parts in Japan has announced that they are going to increase the price from 1/Jul.


    They used to update the price in Spring and Autumn but for this year, they increased the price in January and now July so it seems to be every 6 months.


    As long as you place the order within June, the existing price will be used even if the parts didn’t arrive until after 1/Jul.

    The 20 years old WP.


    It was not seized yet but the bearing was tired and not smooth.

    It is normal to see trace of seepage but with this old design, the leaked coolant was actually landing inside the TB cover which is not good.


    Later, Honda modified the design of WP and TB lower cover for this very reason.
