Now comes the extra work.......








When I tried to install the LED from UK vendor to the ceiling light,
I was not comfortable with the limited gap at the base of the
bulb holder.

Because of the metal heatsink, it could create a short circuit
with the vibration.

The one from Japan doesn't need the following modifications.











After studying the design of the holder, it became clear that
it can be modified fairly easily without weakening it so
started to trim off tiny bits.

Now, I’m happy with the installation.










Of course, you can always go back to the standard bulb.












The UK LED bulb at the right and the standard 5W one in the left.






The UK one at the right and the Japan one at the left.








Same modifications required at the boot light.







Installed.
