Hi all.
Over the last few days, the server became severy unstable.
Between NSXGB and myself, had to reboot the server more than 5 times a day.
In order to see how the bots from Facebook and Amazon are crawling, disabled the access to my blog.
Will enable it again once testing done.

It’s having effect and while had to re-boot at least once a day, not like more than 5 times per day.

Until the software upgrade happens, I may consider limiting the access to my blog with specific userID only first.

Then, gradually see the effect on allowing the guest access.

Don't know why suddenly the bots changed the way they access this site.

As long as they don't make frequent visits all in one go, it seems it can cope with more than 1,000 guests at any single point.

Just so busy with eVisa arrangement at the moment so won’t be spending much time on software upgrade....

For the future reference….

Enabled the blog access at 20:55 on 08/Oct.
For few days, had to reboot again at least once a day but then, just like On/Off switch, the server became very stable.
Several users posted threads on the Forum as well.
While the traffic increased, coped with it.

Then, released another blog post at 11:55 on 27/Oct.
This time, on purposely included photo only and kept the text contents as minimum in the form of the title and the tags.

Had to reboot once a day afterwards but not too bad.

Heineken posted comment in his blog section at 21:45 on 31/Oct.
Had to reboot twice over few days but nothing like multiple times.

Not sure what ‘Hot migrate’ means on the server activity screen….

Will post another blog but this time, will include short text contents in the near future.
If this triggers the surge in bot visits, will disable the access to my blog again to keep the server stable for other users.
