    Hi All

Just a thought, has anyone on here gone from our beloved original to the gen 2 ?
    And thoughts ?

NSX2000 (Paul) has one of each.

Having driven both, there are similarities, they are both easy to drive and live with on a daily basis, however they are very different in performance and handling. The NC1 although heavier has twice the power, and consequently much quicker 0-60. When it comes to driving value, the NA1/NA2 are very much old school, very analogue, the NC1 has a fair amount of technology on board to keep you on the road when you puch hard.

Paul will no doubt fill this in with a longer term experience and ownership.

IMO they are both wonderful cars and the following youtube video looks at both cars, but with all things it comes down to what you want and what you like.

Like they mention in the video its really hard to compare something from the 90's and the 2010's. For example a Toyota Supra or a 911 Turbo.

One thing I can say, is they are very much a HONDA! They are both really reliable, and your grandmother could drive both!

Which ever one you have or maybe you have both, you won't be disappointed

I actually bought an i8 Roadster to complement my NSX NA1. I felt that it was more in keeping with NSX values bizarrely - light weight, small powerplant, technologically of its age, ground-breaking, not really appreciated in its lifetime, etc. I will probably keep the i8 forever. I have no idea about future values but it will likely do a NA1/2 scenario of getting low value before it surges back up. But I will be dead then….. it all depends on how hybrids are perceived in the future as well of course. I do know however that i8s cost a fortune to put right if they go wrong. Although I like the look of the NC2, and am always attracted to a car that becomes (relatively) affordable I am put off by the fact that only Chiswick appears to be able to service them (worse situation than the original even) and it’s just too wide. Even wider than the i8 which is also very borderline where I live. Is it okay to live with?
