Finally someone is talking sense.
Get the bits sorted Ary and we'll do the exchange asap.
you'll be doing the NSX world a good deed by returning my car to IOP... so much so that you could justify type rrrrring it up

I have taken everything posted on board and will put things on hold for a minute until I get all the facts.
As regard to the insurance, I do not think that it will be much more than a bodykit.
Cheers to all who posted their ideas.

Yup, this is a HK car converted to a NSX-R from a standard 3.0, the guy who owns it posts on Prime, and has the biggest collection of cars with his brother you could imagine at 25ish...!Originally Posted by AR
That also happens to be my favourite ever NSX photo I think, oh and I once showed it to Dan (DTA) and he used to work in one of the towers on the right hand side!
AR, sounds like you have some tough decisions, just one thing I have to say is that I'm not sure an IOP R would be right for some reason, despite it being my favourite colour!
Just my £0.02...TQO

Well, the NA2R bonnet is a cf bonnet and this hood fullfills crash test defaults.I would certainly be interested to know the outcome of the insurance/crash test debate. Isnt the original NA2 Type R a CF bonnet? Isnt the Procar a direct moulding replica so surely the same construction/strength?
(Japan has this prescriptions too !)
Because we are using the same carbonfiber (aviation norm 240g/m²) and the same
construction, we got the german 'TÜV' stamp.
TÜV = Association for Technical Inspection, Technical Control Board
BTW, the NSX-R NA2 was available in 9 different body colours.
Lot of people are doing these 2002+ conversions, I'm not a friend of the newer front!Well as you all know this something that I considered before I even got an NSX. I am considering the pros and cons of doing this to my NSX-R.
One worry is that it might be hard to match the colour, and I would prefer not to have to repaint the whole car.
If you ever have seen a Fiat Coupe, you know from where the japanese designers got their frontlight design inspirations.

AR,
Just found this over on Prime. It shows a Brookland Green NSX-R conversion and I have to say it looks good. Its a complete front end swap offerd by evo575 who does all the work with Vance.
Me thinx you may reconsider you upgrade??

Cheers Paul,
At the moment I am thinking of waiting and going all OEM, just for the safety aspect. The bonnet is not like the wing or an air scoop, or any of the other parts we normally change to enhance the looks of our NSX. I want that added OEM safety.
But thanks for the picture it might help convince my wife that we need it more than mods to the new place LOL.
Cheers,
AR
That looks a lot nicer than i thought it would have.
