I noticed that the fuel lid stayed closed even when the opener lever was lifted.

Already there were some signs of someone tried to adjust the alignment in the past.

So, removed the lid and found that the actual hinge was bent in the past causing very heavy movement.

Greased it and moved the position of the spring and at the moment, it works fine but when the temperature ...

    by , 21-07-2011 at 11:21 PM (Today at Atelier Kaz - ex-Honda R&D, F1, Indy/CART engineer)

The owner ordered extra items from Honda and also I sent the Main Monel and spare blank keys to have them cut at Norton Way Honda.

They were kind enough to deliver all of these to my place and also wanted to test the new keys as they were copied from the old tired main key than punched using the key code.

    by , 21-07-2011 at 11:19 PM (Today at Atelier Kaz - ex-Honda R&D, F1, Indy/CART engineer)

However, as they are stuck closed, they won’t be able to release the brake pressure and thus, no ABS control at all on the three out of four tyres.

    Somewhat ...

  5. Alignment 01

    by , 21-07-2011 at 11:17 PM (Today at Atelier Kaz - ex-Honda R&D, F1, Indy/CART engineer)

Before visiting the alignment platform, checked the rideheight, tyre pressure and etc.

By now, all of the suspension bolts and adjusters were greased and checked.

As reported earlier, both R & L Caster adjusters were seized but it is more important to match the wheel base length between R & L.

Based on the tyre choice, state of suspension, owners driving style, current chassis conditions and etc, ...
