    Quite busy at the moment so just a quick updates.






    Finally, happy with the state of the front cyl head so started the LMA installation.
    The old tired LMA (left) and the new latest design one (right) with much longer durability.

    VTEC spool valve and oil pressure sender unit removed.

    Noticed that one of the bolt holding the upper section of the solenoid to
    the valve body was replaced with non-OEM one so may be someone
    replaced the filter in the past.

    Later, I found the bolt inside the pocket of front engine mount.

    Because the bottom side of the bolt is exposed to the outside air,
    quite often, the bolt can get

    Despite all these poor previous service works, I’m very impressed with the cleanness of the internal engine parts on this engine.




    Probably, one the most clean engine in UK.

  5. Eng Refresh Stage 2 – 07

    As expected, some of the valve clearance was at the limit or just out of the spec so it would be interesting to see how the deviation of the compression check between the cyl will improve after this service.


    Happy with the initial engine inspection stage so from here, I just keep removing the parts so that I can clean the inside of the engine.
